I created this piece to welcome the warm weather of Summer that will soon be upon us. My inspiration for this piece is the beautiful Atlantic ocean and coastal waterways of the region. I am blessed to see the ocean everyday. This piece invokes a sense of calm and depicts the sometimes serene nature of water.
This is a simple piece, acrylic on canvas. Molding paste creates a fun texture for the sandy coastline. I really like the point of view in this painting, it’s kind of dreamy; is that a stairway of water leading to the sky? Or are we flying and turning at an angle? There’s no one else on the beach, let’s head that way.
