Bouncy Ball Deconstructed

This piece was a blast to create. I set out to produce a multi-piece installation using nine individual 8”x 8” canvases, primary paint colors, and pouring medium. After the canvases were complete, I observed the piece as a whole and was immediately transported back to the unlikely memory of a childhood bouncy ball. It’s a far cry from today’s techie toys but still a not too distant memory of slower, simpler days.

9 individual 8” x 8” x .75” canvases. Some surface imperfections due to the nature of the pouring medium, gravity, etc. There’s no right way to hang these, only infinite possibilities – thus, no wire attached.
